Terms of Use

The terms for using OpenSet and its data listings.

1. Using OpenSet

These terms apply when you use the OpenSet website, estimation tools and data listings. Use the service only if you can enter binding agreements and, when acting for a business, have authority to represent it.

2. Your responsibilities

Provide accurate information and submit only material you are entitled to use. Do not include customer personal data, trade secrets or unlawful content in public descriptions. Do not impersonate others, send spam, bypass limits or interfere with the service. We may restrict misuse or remove unsuitable listings.

3. Your data and content

You retain your rights in submitted material. You give OpenSet permission to store and process it to provide the service and display descriptions you choose to publish. Submitting a description does not transfer ownership of source data or grant a buyer training or licensing rights.

4. Estimates and AI

Estimates are illustrative planning ranges based on category and volume assumptions. They may use AI or a local classifier and can be inaccurate. They are not valuations, buyer offers or promises of income. Privacy preparation requires review. Replacing names alone does not guarantee that a dataset cannot identify someone.

5. Licensing, fees and subscriptions

A data deal requires separately agreed terms covering permissions, preparation, privacy, permitted use, payment and revenue sharing. A provider’s share may be up to 70% of the agreed licensing proceeds, subject to that agreement. Selecting a plan or submitting a form does not itself create a paid subscription. Any paid subscription requires disclosed pricing and acceptance of its payment terms.

6. Availability and responsibility

We work to keep the service useful and available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, buyer demand or third-party performance. To the extent allowed by law, the service is provided as available and OpenSet is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

7. Changes and contact

We may update the service and these terms. The date above identifies the current version. Separate signed agreements govern the transactions they cover. For questions, disputes or requests to close a listing or account, contact OpenSet through the support page.
